<p>PURPOSE:To retrieve a recording position without feeding a magnetic tape unnaturally, by bringing the magnetic tape into contact with a fixed drum without winding it over a prescribed angle, at time of a fast feeding, or a rewinding operation. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the rewinding, or the fast feeding operation, movable tape guides 2b and 2c on a supply side are moved to intermediate stop positions, then being fixed, and movable tape guides 2b' and 2c' are moved to the stop positions, then being fixed, and also, a movable tape guide 7 is kept at the same position as at time of recording and reproduction. Keeping the above state, the magnetic tape 3 is fed from a supplying reel 18 side to a take up reel 19 side at the time of fast feeding, and it is fed in the reverse direction at high speed at the time of rewinding, however, since the magnetic tape 3 is brought into contact with full width erase head 5 stably in both cases, it is possible to satisfactorily detect a recording position identification signal recorded on the magnetic material plane of the tape.</p> |
