PURPOSE:To make it possible to drive a member to be driven to a desired position and to return the member to the original position by discontinuously driving a bimorph driving element to cause vibration in a prescribed amplitude or vibration exceeding the prescribed amplitude and to repeat the vibration. CONSTITUTION:This lens driving device is provided with a spring 32 for pressing a cam ring 29 to the original position and a stop lever 33 engaged with one of the ratchet pawls 29b of the ring 29 and pressed to a position at which the return of the ring 29 to the original position is hindered. A bimorph driving element Bi2 is controlled so as to cause small vibration having a small amplitude and large vibration having a large amplitude in the counterclockwise direction. When small vibration is caused once, a sending pawl lever 31 sends the pawls 29b by one tooth. When large vibration is caused, the tip of the lever 31 moves the stop lever 33 against the pressing force to a position at which the lever 33 is disengaged from one of the pawls 29b, so the cam ring 29 is returned to the original position by the pressing force of the spring 32. |
