<p>A multi-axle steering system for vehicles is provided with a front-axle and a rear-axle steering device (7, 21) with steering levers (3, 4) and with a switching device for front-axle steering, all-axle steering and/or crab steering, the rear-axle steering device being connected via a connecting device to the front-axle steering device. The connecting device has a deflection lever (11) arranged pivotably on the vehicle frame (14) via a pivot (13) with at least one elongated slot (16) running approximately in the horizontal direction, a thrust rod (10), coupled by one end to a steering lever (3) of a steering device (7), engaging with its other end on the steering lever (11) outside its pivot (15), and a second thrust rod (18) being coupled by one end to the steering lever (4) of the other steering device (21) and by the other end being guided displaceably via an adjusting device (22, 23) in the elongated hole (16). The elongated hole (16) has a curved path which corresponds to part of the radius of the second thrust rod which the latter describes around its fastening point (20) in the steering device. The coupling point of the second thrust rod (18) lies in a central position in the elongated hole (16) coaxially with respect to the pivot (15) of the deflection lever (11). <IMAGE></p> |
