PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having improved sensitivity of a near infra-red sensitizer against a near infra-red ray and an improved shelf-life of a near infra-red sensitive material by incorporating a silver halide emulsion having >=1 ratio of 100 face/111 face to the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The material is composed of the silver halide particle having >=1 ratio of 100 face/111 face mounted on a substrate, contains at least one layer of a silver halide emulsion layer spectrally sensitized in infra-red region, by incorporating at least one of a tricarbocyanine coloring matter and/or a dicarbocyanine coloring matter contg. 4-quinoline ring. The ratio of 100 face/111 face of the used silver halide particle is >=1, preferably >=2, further preferably, >=4. The titled material contains preferably, >=50wt%, further preferably, >=80wt% silver halide particle having >=4 said ratio. The silver halide contains preferably 0-10mol% silver iodide and preferably <=5mol% silver chloride respectively. |
