PURPOSE:To correct a residual color in the white display of each display body when plural guest-host type liquid-crystal panels are used as a polychromatic display body, and obtain uniform white display over the entire screen by arranging plural guest-host type liquid-crystal display panels in united or adjacent relation. CONSTITUTION:The plural guest-host type liquid-crystal panels to which dichroic coloring matters differing in color are added are united together or arranged adjacently and used as polychromatic display bodies. In this case, areas corresponding to respective display areas 30 and 31 are colored in color obtained by adding residual color during the white display of other display areas on the front surfaces of glass substrate 23 of those panels, and corrections are made by using a color correcting filter 29. Thus, the color correcting filter 29 colored in the residual color in the white display of other areas is placed to equalize the areas 30 and 31 in absorption amount and absorption color during the white display, obtaining uniform white display over the entire panel. |
