The sanitary mixer valve has a static control plate with apertures for hot and cold water. A movable control plate with similar apertures moves in relation to the static plate in two directions to control flow and hot/cold mixture respectively. The openings are equipped with flow-limiting inserts to adapt the valve to the pressure conditions at the installation site. The inserts are typically a set of vanes (38) located upstream of the contact surface of the two control plates.
