Regulating prodn. of steam from refuse-burning steam generator - correcting process control parameters by linear or higher order function dependent on refuse quality

The combustion plant has a regulation system (1) with at least one regulator (R) providing a difference value used to adjust one or more setting controls (S1..S4) for the successive stages of the combusion plant. The setting adjustment (Ay) for the setting (y) of each control (S1..S4) is corrected by a first and higher order function. Pref. the setting parameters (y) are corrected via a freely programmable process controller (P) using a number of different stored functions for correcting the setting parameters (y) for different types of refuse. ADVANTAGE - Allows effective combustions of different types of refuse.
