PURPOSE:To make an optical connector part continuously machinable, by conveying a jig, holding the connector part of an optical fiber after being projected, with a conveyor being intermittently driven, while setting up various machining units in a transfer direction in machining order. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 11 being tightly attached with a connector at its end is held by a jig 22 is having a connector part 12 projected at the feed side 40 of a conveyor 21, and it is intermittently conveyed by drive of the conveyor 21. And, it gets to each unit position of a roughing unit 25, a washing unit 26, a finishing unit 27 and a washing unit 28, and it is machined by each of these units. At each position of the roughing unit 25 and the finishing unit 28, the jig 22 is positioned by clamp devices 30 and 31 and rigidly held, and under this state each machining takes place. Thus, the optical fiber 11 with the optical connector part 12 is continuously subjected to the specified machining by each of these units 25-28, and the optical fiber 11 being completely machined is removed from the jig 22 at the discharge side 41. |
