A threaded shank 8 of the pintle furniture hinge 4 is inserted freely into a first blind hole 9 which is traversed by a second blind hole 10 in which there is placed a holding element 12 composed of an eyelet 14 also traversed by the threaded shank 8 and of a threaded end part 15; a blind nut 13 which has an enlarged head 16 pressing against the face of a furniture item around the second hole 10 is screwed onto this threaded end part 15, and remains the only visible part of the device after the furniture hinge 4 has been mounted. <IMAGE>
