PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber having excellent weaving properties in high efficiency, with reduced end-breakage without using a godet roll, by spinning filaments at high speed and applying interlace to the filaments with an interlacer and an air-flow shielding plate having a specific structure and placed above the interlacer. CONSTITUTION:Filaments 2 produced by high-speed spinning of a molten thermoplastic polymer are usually applied with a lubricant and interlaced with an interlacer 7 provided with an air-flow shielding plate 5 above the interlacer (distance between the plate and the interlacer is preferably 10-60cm). The shielding plate has a filament-passing slit 9 with a width of <=15mm. The compressed air stream 6 blown up from the interlacer 7 is shielded by the plate 5 and, at the same time, the accompanying air flow 4 generated around the filament is also shielded. The interlaced filaments are taken up with a winder 8 to obtain the objective fiber. |
