PURPOSE:To easily register both sides by reversing the order of address signals from a CPU at the time of printing on a front side, when sending out and printing on the back side of a sheet of paper which has been printed on the front side and invertedly housed in an intermediate tray. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of record paper 2 are fed one sheet at a time from a record paper tray 3 and sent to a recording part 1 via rollers 52 and a conveying passage 51. In the recording part 1, a latent image is transferred 12 from a drum 11 and fixed 7 to the record paper 2. In the case of one side recording, a gate 8 is set in the state of the chain line and the sheet of paper 2 is conveyed to discharge rollers 15, whereas, at the time of both side recording, the gate 8 is switched over to the position of the solid line. The paper 2 is introduced to an intermediate tray 9 and, after being inverted front to back, it is again sent to a first feeding device 5 and the recording part 1 via a second feeding device 13 and sensors 14. A CPU reads a data buffer in the reverse order based on the output of the sensors 14 and via an address generating circuit, forms a latent image on the sensitizing drum 11, and transfers 12 and fixes 7 the image to the back side of the paper 2. Thereby, both sides of the sheet of paper 2 can be registered. |
