Pulsed radar appts. with stability monitoring - uses delay line signals to control trigger circuit for gating video signal

A delay line (VL) is supplied with a sampled radar signal (g) to provide a simulated echo signal (h) fed to the radar receiver. The input and output of the delay line (VL) are each coupled via a detector (DT1,DT2) to a trigger circuit (TRG) providing a delayed gating signal (k) allowing the video signal (v) to be fed to the radar display. Pref. the output of the delay line (VL) is fed back to its input via a switch (S3) controlled y the trigger circuit (TRG), with a variable phase-shifter (PHS) coupled to the delay line output. The sampled signal (g) fed to the delay line (VL) is pref. obtained by mixing a damped transmission signal (a) with an external local oscillator signal (S).
