摘要 For the inexpensive preparation of medical implants and firmly seating dental prostheses, corrosion-resistant base metal alloys of high strength are required which not only show excellent adhesive strength on suitable ceramic material but can also be easily worked, that is to say have a relatively low hardness. For this application, a cobalt-chromium alloy is proposed which contains 15 to 24% of chromium, 2 to 15% of iron, 3 to 10% of molybdenum and, as the remainder, essentially cobalt. This alloy has an essentially cubic face-centred microstructure and does not tend to undergo a phase transformation into the hexagonal phase. It is particularly advantageous to limit the nitrogen content and carbon content of the alloy to < 0.05%.
