METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PAIR OF SCREW ROTORS OF A SCREW COMPRESSOR

The screw compressor includes female (1) and male (2) rotors in meshing engagement, one having a tooth form (8) which in normal temp. conditions is used as a basic tooth form. When this tooth form is thermally deformed, it is used to generate another rotor tooth form (10). The thermally deformed tooth (9) is expanded by heat generated during operation of the rotors, while the further tooth form (10) is a normal temp. version of the deformed tooth form. When determining desired tooth forms, backlash should be taken into consideration.
