WINDSHIELD WIPER, SPECIALLY FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

A so-called lifting windshield wiper has an oscillating guiding housing and a wiper arm radially retractable into and extendable out of the housing during its oscillation. Various measures are taken to modify the shape of the guiding housing in relationship to known embodiments, thus adapting it to the space available in the engine compartment. The modified shape makes it possible to have a longer wiper blade and thus a larger wiping area.
