The installation is also provided with a tank (16) receiving the pure filtrate and with a device (13) for filtering liquid coating material originating from the dipping tank (1), this device having at least one filter unit (33) whose forward flow (17, 71) can be connected selectively to the dipping tank (1) or to a liquid tank (16), and with a return for pure filtrate (46, 47, 48, 49) and a return for solids-laden liquid (37, 38, 39, 40). At least one of the recirculating liquid tanks (4, 5) is to be connected directly to both the forward flow (68) and to the return flow (103) of the filters.
