PURPOSE:To facilitate the processing of a table part by registering the table part to perform a composition processing while keeping the show of the table when the table generated by a word processor is inputted. CONSTITUTION:The document inputted by the work processor is read into the document storage area TXT of a main memory 5 from a floppy disk device 11 page by page. The frame of the table is first retrieved, and vertical rules included in the candidates of the frame of the table are registered in the vertical rule table CTB of the main memory 5, and the similar processing is performed for horizontal rules, and they are registered in the horizontal rule table RTB of the main memory 5. It is checked whether areas divided by rules in the frame of the table are all rectangular or not based on the contents of rule tables CTB and RTB, and finally, cell data are registered. Thus, the table part of the document is recognized as a table, and the justification and composition of the following text part of the document are performed with the frame part of the table as an inhibiting region. |
