PURPOSE:To facilitate housing work when a large number of thin conductors are housed in lead pipings in a large-sized current lead used for large currents by housing a plurality of the thin conductors into a case divided into two in the longitudinal direction and hermetically joining the two-piece cases. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of conductors 9 are arranged into a U-tube 13a, and the bottom of a U-tube 13b is inserted along a side surface inner than the opening section of the U-tube 13a from the upper side of the conductors 9. The bottom of the U-tube 13b is pushed in the direction of the arrow by external force F at that time, and the U-tubed 13a, 13b are each joined hermetically through a method such as welding at positions P in the vicinity of opening side sections, thus acquiring a helium-gas flow area required among each conductor 9 and in clearances 10 generated among respective conductor 9 and the U-tube 13a. Accordingly, a large number of the long-sized thin conductors are easily housed in lead pipings, and the cooling surface areas of the conductors can be enlarged, thus improving cooling efficiency. |
