The invention relates to a pipe connection piece having a connection region (2) which is formed by its outer wall (1) and is intended for connecting to a pipe-like element extending in this connection region (2), and having a central connection stub (3) which extends into, or approximately up to, the connection region (2). In the case of said pipe connection piece, the diameter of the outer wall (1) behind the connection region (2) and the diameter of the central connection stub behind the free end thereof increases and decreases, respectively, forming an abutment surface (4), and there is fastened, on the central connection stub (3) and in the outer wall behind the connection region, an elastic sealing body (5) which, when no element is present, can be pressed into its sealing position against the abutment surface (4) by means of the pressure, acting in the direction of the connection region (2), of a fluid which is present in the annular space between outer wall (1) and central connection stub (3). <IMAGE>
