An emergency or warning signal system has a transmitter unite (2) associated with an emergency vehicle and a receiver unit (8) associated with a road vehicle. Actuation of a switch in the emergency vehicle will cause the transmission of a warning signal. Upon receipt of the warning signal by the receiver unit (8) an audio and/or visual signal will be displayed to the driver of the road vehicle. |
