A vibrating rod limit switch for level measurement of liquids and loose material consists of a threaded sleeve (1) that can be screwed into the wall of a container, with a vibrating bottom (4), on the external surface of which one or more vibrating rods (5) are placed, a vibration generator (18) arranged inside the threaded sleeve (1) and piezoelectric vibration receiver (21) as well as a housing (8, 24) attached to the threaded sleeve (1), which housing contains the electronic components (23) for the vibration generator (18) and the vibration receiver (21). For a simple exchange of the vibration generator and receiver as well as of the electronic components, inside the threaded sleeve (1) there are arranged a vibrating rod (6) equipped with an iron core (7) and connected to the vibrating bottom (4) and a guide sleeve (15) which contains an electric vibrating magnet (18) and the piezoelectric vibration receiver (21), which is pushed against the vibrating bottom (4) by a compression spring (20). The guide sleeve (15) is equipped with a dish-shaped projection (22), in which the electronic components (23) are arranged. The threaded sleeve (1) is equipped with three vibrating rods (5) on the external surface of the vibrating bottom (4), and the internal vibrating rod (6) is arranged axially to an external vibrating rod (5). <IMAGE>
