To obtain an improved detection process with a new chemodetector, the latter is provided with a waveguide film made of a selective matrix (11) laid on a substrate (10), built with or without a diffraction grid (17). By using this selective matrix with or without a diffraction grid or a supplementary layer (15), a ray, specially a laser beam, can be guided towards a detector. The reaction(s) resp. secondary reaction(s) of the substance to be measured with the selective reaction partner(s) in the selective matrix causes a change in the physical properties directly without the need for tracing substances, through molecular addition(s) and/or transposition(s) and/or transformations in the form of chemical reactions. After the selective matrix and the medium containing the substance have interacted, the changes in the physical properties are measured. |
