<p>PURPOSE:To make the timing variable, in a device for driving a valve which controls the exhaust and fuel in a diesel engine, by providing a piston with a helical gear, which is interconnected with a sleeve through a slide key between a control device and a crank shaft for driving the control device. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a crank shaft 1 is transmitted to a cam through a shaft parts 8 and 9, piston 6 and sleeve 4a so as to drive a fuel injection pump 3 and the like. Between the piston 6 and sleeve 4a, a helical gear 5 formed on the piston 6 and a helical gear 4 formed on the sleeve 4a are meshed with each other. A key 7 is provided on the piston 6 which is slidably fitted to a key way of the inner surface of a portion 7a of a part 9 formed on the end of a shaft part 8. As a pressurized oil is supplied into a passage 12 or 13, the piston 6 is horizontally slided and the phase of the sleeve 4a is deviated from the phase of the piston 6, thereby the injection timing of the fuel can be changed.</p> |
