A nail 1 for driving into pre-drilled holes on structural parts consisting of hard material, such as stone, concrete, lime sandstone or the like, is given a configuration which permits secure anchoring even in holes which have an actual diameter which has become greater than the desired diameter necessary for receiving the nail 1. The nail 1 is provided with a head 3 at one end, and a tip 4 at the other end, of its shank 2. At least over a part 5, of the shank length, adjoining the tip 4, the nail exhibits roughened anchoring portions 6, in particular tooth profiles such as saw-tooth profiles, formed on the shank circumference. It consists of a resilient steel and the shank 2 is curved in the form of corrugations in its longitudinal direction. It is important that the tip 4 is aligned in an equiaxial manner, but at least in an axis-parallel manner, with respect to the head 3 and/or that region of the shank 2 which is in the vicinity of the head. <IMAGE>
