The invention relates to an apparatus for play-free transmission of the movement of a mechanism, especially for dobbies of weaving machines. The object of the invention is to avoid undesirable play and thereby to reduce pronounced wear and susceptibility to faults and increase lifetime and productivity. According to the invention, one side of the knife blade (8), which comes into contact with a knife (16), and one side of the supporting blade (11), which comes into contact with a support (14), are bevelled, an operating part of the knife (16) and an operating part of the support (14) are also bevelled at the same angle, and the other sides of the knife blade (8) and of the supporting blade (11) have no bevels and are supported, on the side of the supporting blade (11), on an insert (9) and, on the side of the knife blade (8), on an insert (4), the two inserts being connected to a pivotable lever (1). <IMAGE>
