An arrangement for heating a playing field or the like has a flow pipe and a return pipe which are each connected to a collector. The collectors are situated substantially transversely to the playing field, preferably approximately in the centre of the playing field, and extend over the entire width of the playing field. The pipelines which cause the heating run from a centre line of the playing field to the respective end of the playing field and back again to the centre, i.e. the pipelines are substantially symmetrical to the centre line or to the axis of the collector unit. This results in considerable savings in the installation of the heating parts. <IMAGE>
