The multi-tumour tissue block preparation method includes the steps of providing several tissues having a small cross-sectional area in a plane transverse to the length. The tissues are positioned in spaced relationship on a casing so that the lengths of the tissues extend in the same direction, wrapping the tissues in the casing. The wrapped casing is then processed in parafin and sectioned to obtain several samples. A fine thread is wrapped around the casing to retain it in wrapped relationship. The casing is trimmed to expose the ends of the tissues before paraffin processing.
