PURPOSE:To enable a ROM cartridge to be replaced without switching OFF a power source, by electrically separating a controlling part and a storage means at the time of fitting or detaching the storage means. CONSTITUTION:A detection signal 21 detects that a cover for ROM cartridges 6-9 is opened, at the time of replacing the ROM cartridges. When the cover 30 is opened in the direction of an arrow for replacing the ROM cartridge 32, a switch 31 is turned OFF, and the detection signal 21 is outputted to a controlling part 1. When the detection signal 21 becomes ON, it is checked whether a control program in the ROM cartridge is being executed. When the program in the ROM cartridge is being executed, the control is transferred to a control program stored in a program ROM 3. A cartridge interface part 5 is disenabled by setting a signal 10 to 'H', whereby the ROM cartridges 6-9 are disconnected from a system sub, and a power source for the cartridges 6-9 is cut off. Accordingly, the ROM cartridges 6-9 can be detached without turning OFF the power source. |
