PURPOSE:To increase the service life of a battery by bonding the upper surface of an alpha-alumina ring, the upper opening end of a sodium ion conductive solid electrolyte tube, and the lower surface of an alpha-alumina cover through which an anode terminal tube is passed in the center with glass solder. CONSTITUTION:The upper surface 2' of an alpha-alumina ring 2 having a small inner diameter part 2A and large inner diameter part 2B, and the upper opening end 1' of a solid electrolyte tube 1 made of beta'-alumina are almost aligned and bonded with glass solder. The lower surface of an alpha-alumina cover 10 through which an anode terminal tube 9 is passed in the center is brought into contact with the upper surface 2' of the alpha-alumina ring 2 and the upper opening end 1' of the electrolyte tube 1, and the contact surface is bonded with glass solder. A circular cathode 4 to which a cathode terminal 8 is welded is melt-bonded on the upper surface of the cover 10. The electrolyte tube 1 is inserted into a container 5 into which a cathode conductive material 7 impregnated with a cathode active material 6 is accommodated, and the circumference of the cathode cover 4 and the upper end 5' of the container 5 are welded. Thereby, the service life of a battery can be increased. |
