PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent combustion condition for a long period of time through increasing of the number of pores in case a high-temperature condition occurs at a time when tar accumulates, by a method wherein a material, which is gasified or oxidized or dissolved when exceeding a given temperature, is contained in a wick. CONSTITUTION:A wick 1 in a title device is constituted such that a suction wick 16 at the lower end thereof is extended into a fuel tank, and meanwhile, the paper end thereof is exposed to a primary combustion chamber only at a necessary time. In said device, a material 17, which is gasified, oxidized, or dissolved when exceeding a given temperature, is contained in a part, where the wick 1 made of fiber such as glass, spun rayon yarn, or a ceramic porous material is exposed to a primary combustion chamber, in a manner that a large amount of the material 1 is contained in the upper part of the wick and a less amount in the lower part thereof. The material 17 is of a material such as paraffin, iron, tellurium tetrachloride, or the like. This causes increasing of the number of pores through the gradual flow of the material 17 to the outside of the wick in case the wick 1 is increased in temperature when tar accumulates at the upper part of the wick 1, and brings a combustion amount to an initial condition. |
