PURPOSE:To perform changeovers between four positions at will with a simple structure by causing a 2nd output shaft for transmitting rotation to either front or rear wheels to be linked with a drive gear arranged on a 1st output shaft, and arranging a changeover device capable of shifting in the axial direction of the 1st output shaft at will, thereby making it possible to select four shift positions. CONSTITUTION:In a 1st shift position, a differential case 3 and a gear 7 are connected to drive rear wheels. In a 2nd shift position, the differential case 3 and a gear 13 are connected to drive front wheels. In a 3rd shift position, since the gear 7 is fixed to the differential case 3, the rear wheels are also driven to realize a 4-wheel center differential lock condition. Further in a 4th shift position, rotation of the differential case is transmitted to both of the front wheels and the rear wheels, with a differential rotation between front and rear wheels absorbed by a differential device 1, to realize a 4WD center differential free condition. These changeovers can be easily performed by operating a shift lever 20.
