PURPOSE:To effectively adsorb and remove basic malodorous gases which cannot be effectively removed by an activated carbon by compounding the aluminum phosphate compd. expressed by specific general formula as an effective component with a deodorizer, thereby preparing the deodorizer. CONSTITUTION:For example, aq. phosphoric acid soln. and hydroxide and/or oxide of aluminum are brought into reaction to prepare the transparent aluminum phosphate compd. The crystal of the compd. expressed by formula I (x denotes 1.2-2.2, n denotes 1.0-3.0) is inoculated with the aq. soln. and the soln. is stirred at 30-70 deg.C and is crystallized to obtain the compd. expressed by formula I. The compd. has small hygroscopicity and the aq. soln. thereof exhibits acidicity and is adequate as the deodorizer for basic gases. The means used for the deodorizer includes, for example, a method of pelletizing the powder thereof to a specific grain size. |
