PURPOSE:To keep a good current supply characteristic and to obtain excellent durability, by allowing ceramic to fill the gaps between the leading end parts of a large number of recording electrodes for supplying a current to the conductive resistor layer formed on a head base material according to a flame spraying method. CONSTITUTION:The material of a head substrate 2 composed of, for example, ceramic based on Al2O3 and SiO2 and, for example, a tungsten paste is printed on the substrate by a screen printing method to be baked along with the substrate. Next, photoetching is applied to the tungsten film on the substrate to form a large number of tungsten recording electrodes 3 on the head substrate 2. The parts other than the end surfaces 4 contacting a ribbon of the leading end parts of the recording electrodes 3 are coated with ceramic 5, for example, based on Al2O3 and SiO2 by a flame spraying method. By this method, the gaps between the recording electrodes 3 are filled with the ceramic 5 and, at the same time, the upper surfaces of the recording electrodes 3 are coated with the ceramic 5. |
