The present invention concerns a method for coating of solid particles using a material that is highly viscous or solid at room temperature, in which a melt of the material that is very viscous or solid at room temperature and the particulate solid material being coated is fed via different channels 19, 22 into a cavity 7 in a rotating mixing disk 3, 4 or one or more spaces 13 for a solid material in mixing disks 3, 4 and flung by centrifugal force outward toward the periphery of disks 3, 4, in which the melt is pressed from its cavity 7 via a groove 9 in disks 3, 4, in the direction toward the upper side of disks 3, 4 and in so doing forms a finely dispersed melt in the form of small drops which form a mist that encounters the particulate material, which is flung outward by centrifugal force, and adheres to the surface of said material to form an uninterrupted coating on the material, which is highly viscous or solid at room temperature around said material. <IMAGE>
