PURPOSE:To obtain a heat developable photosensitive material providing a dye image which has excellent contrast and maintains the initial contrast without decrease even after raw preservation by incorporating a prescribed non- diffusive compd. which releases an acid into the heat developable photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:At least a photosensitive silver halide, reducing agent, binder, non-diffusive dye donative material which releases or forms a diffusive dye, and the non-diffusive compd. which releases the acid as a function of heat development are incorporated into the heat developable photosensitive material. The acid to be released by the compd. which releases the acid is preferably an org. acid and is more particularly preferably a carboxylic acid, sulfonic acid, sulfinic acid, sulfenic acid, org. phosphoric acid, etc. The acid releasing compd. is preferably added to the photosensitive layer of the heat developable photosensitive material. The amt. of the compd. to be added is 0.01-10g, more preferably 0.05-2g per m<2> of the heat developable photosensitive material. |
