PURPOSE:To simultaneously carry out both purification of air and dehumidification, by mixing cooling air passing through an evaporator with non-cooling air passing through a bypass passage to generate white smoke so that dust and germs in the air are absorbed in the white smoke, and thereafter by discharging the white smoke together with condensate. CONSTITUTION:Coolant discharged from a compressor 10 is condensed in a condenser 9, and is separated into a gas phase and a liquid phase. Further, the liquid phase coolant expands through an expansion valve 12, and is evaporated in a cooling evaporator 7 and a white smoke generating evaporator 8. Then the coolant is returned into the compressor 10 after capturing heat from the surrounding air. At this time, due to the difference in temperature between non-cooling air passing through a bypass passage 52 and cooling air passing through the evaporator 8, white smoke is generated. Further, the white smoke absorbs dust and germs in the air which is therefore purified. Further, the white smoke having absorbed dust and germs is turned into condensate in the evaporator 7, and is then discharged outboard together with dust and germs by means of a water draining device. Thereby, it is possible to simultaneously carry our both air purification and dehumidification. |
