PURPOSE:To obtain the titled raw material safely added with minor ingredients in high yield and uniformity with simplified process, by charging minor ingredients in a container made of Se, Te, etc., which is main components of the objective raw material and throwing the container containing the ingredients into an alloy-producing furnace. CONSTITUTION:A minor ingredient component (e.g. SeCl4) is charged into a container A made of one or more components constituting the main component of the objective raw material to be produced, e.g. Se or Se-Te alloy in the case of Se-Te alloy and Se or Se-As alloy for the production of Se-As alloy. The container A containing the above minor ingredient is thrown into a quartz crucible 1 encircled with a heat-insulation wall 6 of an alloy-production furnace through an alloy raw material inlet port 3. The content of the crucible is heated and melted with a heater 5 while measuring the liquid temperature with a thermocouple inserted into the liquid through a thermocouple-insertion hole 4 and the content is stirred by introducing N2 through an N2 gas introduction pipe to obtain the objective raw material. |
