PURPOSE:To improve image density and definition by specifying the magnetic toner in a developer for an electrostatic charge image consisting of a carrier and a magnetic toner. CONSTITUTION:A developer is formed of a magnetic carrier having satd. magnetization ranging 40-220emu/g and a grain size ranging 5-200mum, a resin, magnetic powder and electrostatic charge controlling agent. The magnetic toner consists of a mixture composed of >=2 kinds of the toners having different contents of magnetic powders which have the same magnetism in the frictional electrostatic chargeability with the carrier and of which the electrostatic charge quantity is >=5muc/g absolute value. The above-mentioned magnetic toner is preferably formed of a toner of a small grain size having an average grain size ranging 5-15mum and satd. magnetization ranging 8-35emu/g and a toner of a large grain size having an average grain size ranging 10-40mum and satd. magnetization ranging 3-25emu/g. The image density and definition are improved by such constitution. |
