PURPOSE:To enable control to the electric charge quantity suitable for a developing system to be used by incorporating a binder resin of a copolymer of a monomer having a nitrogenous organo group at the side chain and vinyl monomer and an electric charge controlling agent having the specific unit structure into the titled toner. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin of the copolymer of the monomer having the nitrogenous organo group at the side chain and the vinyl monomer and the electric charge controlling agent having the unit structure expressed by formula I are incorporated into the toner. In formula I, R denotes an organo group, M denotes a metal, m denotes the valency of the metal M, l, m, n and 3n/(m-l) denote natural numbers. The more specific examples of the compd. having the structure expressed by formula I is the structural unit include [(C4 H9)2Sn]3(BO3)2, [(C4H9O)2Ti]3(BO3)2, etc. The nitrogenous organo group of the monomer side chain includes, for example, a dimethyl amino group, diethyl amino group, etc. |
