<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate deviations of printing positions and contrive higher printing quality, by detecting an error in a movement by stopping a printing operation when a printing head reaches or exceeds a predetermined temperature, and correcting a printing timing at the time of restarting the printing operation. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is switched ON, an error theta1 in movement of a carriage 3 is detected, and a printing timing is corrected. When the temperature of a printing head 2 is raised, the first momentary stop condition of printing (thermal alarm) t1 is obtained. An error thetat1 in leftward and rightward movements of the carriage 3 at an internal temperature C1 of the device is detected by utilizing the time t1, and the printing timing is corrected on the basis of the error thetat1. When the thermal alarm is tn, an error thetatn in the leftward and rightward movements of the carriage 3 at an internal temperature Cn of the device is detected, and the printing timing is corrected on the basis of the error thetatn. Resultantly, deviations of printing positions are prevented from being generated in two-direction printing, depending on the internal temperature of the device.</p> |
