PURPOSE:To quickly and stably form an image having a high max. color forming density and low min. image density by using a liquid developer having <=11.5pH and contg. a tetrazaindene deriv. in a developing process. CONSTITUTION:The developing process is executed by using the liquid developer having <=11.5pH and contg. the tetrazaindene deriv. (exclusive of the deriv. contg. an SH group). The color coupler is the compd. which itself is non- diffusive and forms or releases a substantially non-diffuse dye by oxidation coupling with a p-phenylene diamine color developing agent. The nucleating agent is the compd. selected from the compds. expressed by the formulas I and II. In the formula, Z is a nonmetallic atom group necessary for forming a 5- or 6-membered heterocycle, R<1> is an aliphat. group, R<2> is a hydrogen atom, aliphat. group, etc., Y is a paired ion for electric charge balance, n is 0 or 1. In the formula II, R<21> denotes an aliphat. group, arom. group, R<22> denotes a hydrogen atom, alkyl group, etc., G denotes a carbonyl group, sulfonyl group, etc. |
