In a process for transporting prefabricated wall panels, the intention is to carry out measures which permit the use of any building blocks and prevent individual building blocks (6) from coming loose. The invention proposes an underlay (2) with longitudinal grooves (3) and transverse grooves (4), reinforcing bars (5) being introduced into the longitudinal grooves (3) and the transverse grooves (4) being wider and deeper than the longitudinal grooves (3). For transportation by crane, lashing straps are fitted around the wall panels, on which the hooks of the crane lifting beam engage via carrying pieces. The lashing straps (8) are pulled through the transverse grooves (4) of the underlay (2) beneath the reinforcing bars (5). <IMAGE>
