Photovoltaic component of building structures and buildings

In order to reduce the production costs and to increase the mechanical and corrosive resistance of the solar cells used in building structures and buildings for the photovoltaic production of electrical current, parts of the building structure itself, namely glass roof tiles, are used as carriers of the current-producing layers instead of these solar cells. The said glass roof tiles serve as a substrate for the photovoltaically active chemical elements or compounds which are to be applied to their surfaces.
