A garment-hanger hook with clamping brake for clothes lines consists of two hooks of different size bent one behind the other, the smaller lower-lying hook being intended especially for hanging the garment-hanger on clothes lines. The clothes line is pressed into the conically extending end of the smaller hook by means of spring pressure and a sliding part acting as a clamping brake, and is secured to the line by a non-slip coating on the sliding part.
