For stress relief of a ribbon cable (1) on a housing part (2), a mandrel-like dielectric peg (3) is pushed through the connecting ribbon (11) of the ribbon cable (1) and is pushed into a conical hole (8) in the housing part (2). In this way, the ribbon cable (1) is relieved of stress without the wires of the ribbon cable (1) being deformed.
