<p>PURPOSE:To cause a transfer recording layer to penetrate sufficiently into a transfer recording material and enhance fixation properties, by heating a pressing member making contact with the transfer recording material being fed so that the temperature of the pressing member becomes higher than the temperature of a transfer member making contact with a transfer recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A motor is driven to sequentially pay out a transfer recording medium 1 from a payout roll 2, and light and heat are applied to a transfer recording layer of the medium 1 at a recording part 3 according to an image signal, whereby an image is formed. The transfer recording medium 1 on which a negative image is thus formed is laid upon a recording paper 8 at a transferring part 4, and the medium 1 and the paper 8 are fed while being heated and pressed by a transfer roller 4a and a pressure roller 4b. The surface of the pressure roller is maintained at a fixed temperature (90-100 deg.C) by turning ON and OFF a heater 4d, whereby the paper 8 is heated. With the paper 8 heated, transfer of the transfer recording layer is facilitated, and the layer is permitted to penetrate sufficiently into the paper, so that it is possible to transfer an image with favorable adhesion and fixation properties.</p> |
