PURPOSE:A surfactant-free tooth paste composition that contains hydroxy ethylcellulose, thus markedly reducing irritation with flavors and giving good feeling, when it is used. CONSTITUTION:A tooth paste composition free from surfactants is combined with hydroxyethylcellulose to give a composition of markedly reduced irritation with flavors. The amount of hydroxyethylcellulose added is preferably 0.2-2.0wt% based on the total composition. Hydroxyethylcellulose has been found to develop excellent action to weaken the irritation with flavors as an additive (a binder). Thus, the tooth paste composition according to the present invention is free from surfactants and gives good feeling, when used, because the irritation of flavors is markedly reduced. |
