PURPOSE:To permit the common use of color filters and electrodes by providing plural pieces of colored metallic electrodes. CONSTITUTION:This liquid crystal color display device consists of a front glass 1, a transparent electrode 2, a liquid crystal layer 3, a sealing part 4, a substrate 7 and the colored aluminum electrodes 8. To color the aluminum electrodes 8, a voltage is first impressed only to the aluminum electrodes 8 desired to be colored to red in a soln. to anodize the electrodes and after the substrate is colored to red, the substrate is sealed. The electrodes are similarly colored to green and red respectively. The plural aluminum electrodes 8 are selectively anodized and colored in the above-mentioned manner, by which the color filters are formed on the electrodes with the simple stage. |
