PURPOSE:To make light transmission properties in a range between ultraviolet light and middle infrared light slightly deteriorated even if the titled glass is irradiated with ionizing radiation, by adding an atom to show a state of plural valency electrons in glass to glass consisting of metal fluoride to constitute fluoride glass. CONSTITUTION:An atom to show a state of plural valency electrons in glass is added to a metal fluoride compound to constitute fluoride glass. For example, 1wt% FeF3 containing Fe atom to show a state of plural valency electrons in glass is added to a metal fluoride compound consisting of ZrF4(57.8wt%)- BaF2(31.7wt%)-GdF3(5wt%)-AlF3(1.8wt%)-PbF2(3.7wt%), to constitute fluoride glass. |
