1. Process for the thermal stabilisation of a halogeno-vinyl resin, which comprises incorporating into the resin at least one polyol mercapto-ester, the ester being mixed, resulting from the esterification of only a part of the hydroxyls of the polyol by a mercapto-acid, while all or part of the other hydroxyls are esterified by an acid free from -SH, characterised in that the latter acid is a C6 to C18 fatty acid.
